Ok cool, that’s what I did since my PH was high. I checked my PH this morning and it’s much better at 7.5 so hoping it says there. Then I know my TA level is fine.

I didn’t do a Slam yet, I’m just keeping my chlorine levels at the recommended level. I checked this morning and it’s better but still not crystal clear. Maybe I’m being picky lol I was more curious about the TA since high readings can cause cloudiness from what I read.

I’m sure it’s algae but as I said I already passed the OCLT

What should the TA be? The card in my TF100 pro kit says 100-120 for chlorine pools which I have. But Pool math says 60-80. I’m currently at 70. Anyone seen this before?

Yea I hate to admit this but I just realized I was using the flat end to do the scoop 🤦‍♂️ It says “heaping scoop” so I thought the small scoop was too tiny lol. You’re right I have plenty tests left. And I’ll compare the color with the OTO test as well that’s a good idea. Thank you so much 😊

I have the FAS/DPD test kit so I can accurately test the FC when I SLAM the pool. The chart says my normal FC level should be between 5 and 7ppm. If I want it at a 6, the everyday chlorine and ph test only goes up to 5ppm. I’ll run out of the DPD powder too quick unless I just test once a week...

Thank you so much, I’m seeing some other forum responses to this as well. People aren’t taking the CYA level into account when determining safe chlorine levels. This site is truly above anything else.

Yes pool is looking great..What are the safe chlorine levels that the water needs to get to in order to swim? My CYA level is 40. Thank you :)

Quick update. It’s been 24 hours since starting the SLAM. Pool is looking much better! I want to say it’s 100% clear but I want to give it another night. I passed the OCLT last night and have 0 CC. I’m hoping the water looks good in the morning..if so, I can start letting the FC level drift back...
