    Thanks for the input. I have a test kit - a full Taylor setup. I posted my results. I don't need to add more FC as it's over 15 ppm now. I understand the process as I've read it. Your answer didn't help me with my problem of cloudiness.

    Unable to balance

    Yes sir, I have used the Pool Math App. How do I know how much liquid Chlorine to add to get the recommended ppm? I see on the chart if CYA = X, FC should by Y, etc. but where do I find how much will get me there? A gallon? A quart? I can't find it. TIA.

    The pool "looks" very clear. There is a very small amount of algae on the liner in some spots that we vacuum up. But that's not acceptable to me.

    CYA test subjectiveness?

    It's nice to be able to test for CYA at home instead of going to the local pool shop. However, the test seems so subjective to me. Maybe it doesn't matter if it's 10-15 units off, but when I look at it at waist level and my wife looks at it as well, we see the black dot at different intervals...
