Woohoo! Test kit arrived in Australia... results are in!

really? the cheapest i can find on the internet is AUD33.00 if you save AUD18.00 that leaves you AUD4.00 for shipping i somehow doubt that it's possible. but that's exactly why we stopped supplying the kits, it's not viable at the prices people are willing to pay.

pretty much you cut out a lot of costs when you just buy something privately although in this case we are probably talking about a difference of 10 bucks or so.

Taylor or tf100 test kit availability in Australia?

It's more to do with the fact that they cost an arm and a leg to get here in small quantities, and there is not enough demand to import large quantity. We've been selling TF-100 kits for 4 years, and I believe sold less than 50 in total. It took us about 1 year to sell the first 5. Last year it...

surely if they can't replace the unit they should at least be able to supply the main board? how do they expect to service all the thousands of the units of discontinued model that they have sold?

    Viron SWG's - newbie question

VX -old horse, they bought it along with the company from Hurlcon I believe. Transformer based, so heavy and eats more electricity. Probably a bit more reliable too as it's got less electronics. Salt Chlorinator - Newer model, has switch mode power supply. Will be lighter and consume less power...

    SWG in commercial pool code

i think the fact that there is such requirement doesn't mean it has to work at a 100% all the time. it just has to be capable of it in case you need to increase chlorine levels quickly for some reason (kid having an accident?). it does seem grossly oversized though. i'd normally recommend a...

Turn off SWG and run pump for 24 hours after adding salt?

Re: Turn off SWG and run pump for 24 hours after adding salt if you only adding salt to bring it up by 500 ppm i wouldn't do anything specific at all. just spread it around the pool and brush a bit to ensure it's not collected in one spot.

Turn off SWG and run pump for 24 hours after adding salt?

Re: Turn off SWG and run pump for 24 hours after adding salt are you starting up your pool or just topping up to increase salt level? i take it it's the later, in which case you don't have to turn it off. just add salt along the pool wall and brush it to mix a bit. if it's the former - most...
