Low temperature preventing Pentair IC60 from turning on

Thanks for the feedback. We had not been monitoring the chlorine regularly…we became so used to not worrying about the pool with the SWG! We added salt and chlorine and will just wait for Spring.

Low temperature preventing Pentair IC60 from turning on

I converted our pool to salt two years ago, and had great results. But this winter it’s been cold and rainy and our SWG, a Pentair IC60 has a shutoff for cold water that appears to be set to 55 degrees (F). The pool temperature has been below this for a mont or so and now I see some algae. Is...

New GFCI and my pool light

I’ve swapped out the original 15A GFCI for a 20A GFCI, and I’ve confirmed that the neutral (white) is connected to the bus bar, along with all the other circuits. I’ve ruled out a major short, since swapping in a standard breaker works fine. @avspin, I think you may have the solution for me...

New GFCI and my pool light

I recently upgrade my entire pool pad with a Pentair Easytouch, VS pump, intellichlor, etc... I finally got around to hooking up the pool light, and I wired it to a new GFCI breaker in the Easytouch. However I now have an issue where the GFC trips where the GFCI trips whenever I turn on the...

    Installing Solar Diverter Valve

Here is the modified plumbing diagram after taking your feedback into account. I also moved the intake to the Polaris pool sweeper to a point after the filter as well for the same reasons.

    Installing Solar Diverter Valve

Once again TFP has saved our pool ; ) Great point on the unfiltered water, I will modify the design to move the solar intake to the filtered side, and out of caution, add a check valve below the diverter valve so the drain down flows out to the pool side and not back into the filter (which is...

    Installing Solar Diverter Valve

I was looking to keep things simple, and did not think I need the isolator valve, but I do have the check valve and vacuum break to allow the drain down. Also, I plan to run the solar heating in line with the pump and before the sand filter. I've looked at the link to the Florida Design, and...

    Installing Solar Diverter Valve

I recently installed a complete Pentair System, EasyTouch controller, VS Pump, and IC40. I am now ready to add the diverter valve to a roof mounted solar. I saw a picture in one of the posts that show a single diverter valve and a check valve, plus vacuum break at the top of the solar...

Wiring Intelliflo VS Pump and Intellichlor SCG to EasyTouch control system - direct or through relay?

I've finally received all the components I need to replace my antiquated system with what I hope will be an upgrade. I am working through the connections on paper, but the various Pentair manuals are not at all clear. The EasyTouch installation manual has instructions to connect the comm cable...

Wiring Intellichlor IC40 to Easytouch PL4 and Pentair Superflo VS pump

Thanks Jim and Allen! Since I didn't unpack and install anything, it looks like I will be able to return the items. I will order the 520593 and once it arrives, will get started with the installation. Thanks for all the help in cutting out what would have been a very complicated and expensive...

Wiring Intellichlor IC40 to Easytouch PL4 and Pentair Superflo VS pump

Allen, I don't have a Spa, and also no water features. In terms of heating, we had a water heater a long time ago, but it's no longer serviceable and we will go to solar (we get pretty good results with just a cover at night). Jim, You referred to a link in your note for the Easytouch, but I...
