Yeah, that part's not unreasonable. I meant holding pH at 7.4 or lower seems unreasonable. I thought CYA was really just an efficiency part of the chemistry, ie. having 70-80 will require less chlorine overall to keep the pool at a good FC level. I had not tested CYA for obviously too long and...
