DE in pool is vac'ing the only way to remove?

Thanks, and sorry for not saying so sooner. I wasn't notified there was a reply. I ended up vac'ing the pool 4 times to get it out. Now I'm fighting mild algae and cloudiness off and on. Time to SLAM. Last night we had a major storm blow through, and we picked up a quick 3" of rain. At 1am, I...

DE in pool is vac'ing the only way to remove?

Earlier today I saw what I felt was unusually high pressure of almost 20psi in my IG pool with a Hayward DE6020 filter. Usually I run around 15. I figured I would just pull the grid and clean it vs backwashing which I did without issue. But when I fired the pool back up I was shocked to see so...

    Confirming a dead salt cell

For me, the 40K T15 equivalent is only $50 than OE Hayward, so I would stay with Hayward.

    Confirming a dead salt cell

Agreed. Otherwise 6 months of warranty will be lost. I was assuming another Hayward cell. Are there other good options to consider? I didn't find any.

    Confirming a dead salt cell

About that, $4 for a gallon of 10% liquid chlorine. Given my above situation though, would we all agree the cell has crossed the bar and is toast?

    Confirming a dead salt cell

That's likely my plan, liquid chlorine/bleach. What is this cell sale you speak of? ;)

    Confirming a dead salt cell

Pretty sure I have a dead cell, but want to confirm a few things, if you all don't mind checking things out. First off, the Hayward T-CELL-15 is in it's 9th season. You read that right, 9. If it is dead, it owes me noting. But this season, it has been reading lower salt levels, and gradually...

Well this is crazy, pool green in 1 hr...copper I assume - party tonight. :(

Yeah I totally thought it was green. Now I know. And I'd say she's all cleaned up now. This is after a couple of hours of filtering.

Thanks. So these filter systems are how you use your garden hose to add water to the pool and keep the iron out? You guys saved me though, thanks for such a quick response. My daughter is relieved! I added the HTH metal cleaner from walmart. Within 15 minutes, it was clearing and continues...
