I'm having trouble keeping my bottom clean (not slippery). I don't know if the water is balanced correctly, but it is crystal clear, except every 2 or 3 days i see brown spots on the bottom and I will clean the bottom and the walls, but cannot figure out what is making the bottom slippery...

looking for advice on what brand of AGP to buy.

I would look at recdirect.com, (short for recreational direct) they have top quality pools, also discountpoolsdirect.com, that's where I bought mine, it is alum wall, and all resin frame except for the uprights, the pool factory is also good, as they have more choices, but not any with one piece...

    Confused pool owner

I am considering adding borates to our pool, but I have a couple of questions first. I noticed in the recommended levels that it calls for 50-90+ TA. Mine is currently110, and in the reading about borates it says to get it down to 70-80. why is that? Also, I have clear looking water when looking...

    Power cord is HOT

Sorry to see you having so much trtouble, We just put up a pool and we were told the min. for an above ground pool is 20 amps. From what I am reading, you have possibly a compound problem. First you want a 20 amp circuit for that pump! It probably ran ok last year, but progressively started to...

Does anyone know the difference between the TAYLOF K-6000 AND THE TAYLOR K-6000C? they both claim to do FAS-DPD tests, however the price is considerably higher on...

    Eye or elbow

Thank You for that. I'll experiment and derive at the best angle. Right now with it pointed up 45 degrees, when debris is floating toward the skimmer, sometimes it gets caught in the current made by the return, unless it is within 10" of the skimmer. Thanks again, have a good weekend.

    Eye or elbow

While in the pool store talking with an employee, about pumps and filter systems, the subject of backpressure came up, and he recommended to reduce it by removing the eye fitting and installing a 90 degree elbow and said to point it down toward the bottom. I'm not sure which way is right or...

    Not quite right

I have a ph of 7.6 and want to lower it, the ta is 100 . Can i lower the ph without lowering the ta? Also, what is the min. For calcium hardness in a ablve ground pool, i have been told it doesn't matter with a vinyl liner. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

    Water balancing

Is it possible for a mineral system like pool frog or nature 2 to make water soft and silky feeling like a swg system does?
