    TriVac 700 stuck in corner

Hi, I've got a TriVac 700 that continually gets stuck in the same corner. I pull it out of the water and it cycles between blowing out the back for about a minute, and then a 5 second burst out the front. I read in the manual that cold water makes the supply hose less flexible and the vac...

    CYA doesn't break down?

Here's what I think I know: It appears that all standard chlorine tablets that go into the auto-chlorinator are stabilized and contain cyanuric acid (at least the ones they sell at my local pool supply store) Cyanuric acid does not break down in the pool so it once it's in, it is essentially...

TriVac 700 getting stuck in corner

I've got a TriVac 700. It was working fine for the past year and now it gets stuck in the corner. When I pull it out of the water, it'll start cycling through blowing out the front, then back, then front, etc. But when I throw it back in the pool it heads in the forward direction until it gets...

    Omnilogic HLRELAYBANK pinout?

Ah-hah! I found that instead of the HLRELAYBANK which gives me 4 relays, there are also the single ports on the mainboard for HLRELAY-9 and HLRELAY-10 which each connect to a single relay. And for those I can see in the pictures for those HLRELAY parts how the wires from the relay match up to...

    Omnilogic HLRELAYBANK pinout?

Hi, I need to add one more relay to my system so that I can control an additional area of landscape lights independent from the ones around the pool. All four of my relays that come with the Omnilogic are already used. I found HLRELAYBANK for like $600. Wow! I got the PN for one of the...

    Add Muriatic Acid Every Week?

I sometimes have trouble reading the colors on the test strip so I usually double-check the result with the Pentair liquid test kit... its the one where you take a water sample and drip solutions into it and check the color. Then I do the acid demand test to tell me how much Muriatic acid to...

    Add Muriatic Acid Every Week?

Yes, fairly new. The pool was completed this past March. I recently (about a month ago) took a water sample to a local pool place and they found that the TA was too low and had me put some Alkalinity Up to raise it. At the time the pH was around 7.9 (a little high). Now the TA is in the...

    Add Muriatic Acid Every Week?

I probably add about an inch of water a week. It's got an auto-chlorinator that uses tabs plus I add maybe half a gallon of liquid chlorine every other week. It's got a waterfall that runs whenever the pool is filtering.

    Add Muriatic Acid Every Week?

I find that I'm adding maybe a quart or so of muratic acid to my pool every week. It was less common in the spring and beginning of the summer. Now I find that I need to add acid every week. Is that normal?

    Heater and Pump Flow

Thanks! We found out what the problem was... the valves were set to allow water to bypass the heater so it wasn't getting 100% of the flow from the pump. Doh!

    Heater and Pump Flow

The pool is new so the filter has only been run for a couple months. I'll check to see if it is dirty/clogged. I don't trust the pressure gauge on the filter since it always reads the same regardless of whether the pump is on/off. Thanks!

    Heater and Pump Flow

I've got a new pool and spa. It has a Hayward 500 BTU heater running on propane. The pump is a Tristar VS 950 omni variable speed pump. To keep the noise down, I usually run it around 70-80%. Today we started up the heater with the pump running at 80%. It worked fine for about 10 minutes...
