    Rising TA and PH

The water level in the pool is largely maintained by the rain that we get here in Tampa. I've added water only once in the past 8 months. I'm not sure why it has risen, but it definitely has. I have all of the test results from the last 8 months

    Rising TA and PH

Ok will do. Not sure what the fill water TA is. I'll test it. I haven't added water in several months though thanks to random Florida storms. Since the pool was installed, I've added only bleach and granulated stabilizer.

    Rising TA and PH

My TA has slowly risen since my pool was completed in May 2020. It started at 50 and today is at 110. My pH has always been around 7.8 but today tested at 8.2. Poolmath says to lower pH to 7.0-7.2 and aerate to fix TA. Is this what I should do? I've read through a few other posts and saw someone...

New Pool - Something Wrong Already?

OCLT results: Measured at 8pm - FC 6.0 CC 0.5 Measured at 6am - FC 6.0 CC 0.5 Not sure what was going on earlier this week, but it seems that everything is ok now! Aside from daily testing and daily chlorine additions, is there anything else that I should be doing right now?

New Pool - Something Wrong Already?

I read a few posts that talked about increasing CYA to 50. Is this what I should follow?

New Pool - Something Wrong Already?

Noted! I will start testing every day. Will I always need to add chlorine every day? I read a few posts on here about how increasing CYA to around 50 decreases FC loss, so I increased CYA from 35 to 45. It may be lower than that now due to the rain

New Pool - Something Wrong Already?

New pool here! It was filled for the first time on May 30th. The pool builder maintained it for the first 1.5 months, and I've been taking a stab at it for the past 20 days or so. I ordered the TF-100 and paid for the Pool Math app. So far, I've been adding enough bleach to get me to a FC of 6...

New Member! How do I get started?

After I posted the results, I entered them into pool math and it suggested between 3-7ppm. Any reason to go higher than the minimum of 3ppm?

New Member! How do I get started?

The water looks great! Clear and no algae visible anywhere. Here are the test results: PH = 7.5 FC = 1 CC = 0 CH = 450 TA = 50 CYA = 35-40 Seems like the TA and FC are a little low. I had an in-line chlorinator installed with the pool (before I knew about the dangers/headaches of CYA), and...

New Member! How do I get started?

Hello! SO happy to have found this website! There's a ton of great advice. I have already purchased the TF-100 test kit, and it was delivered yesterday. I am wondering how to get started with it and which tests I should perform. I have a brand new pool (filled for the first time May 30th), and...
