    Recommend an AGP winter cover?

I think that there are high quality above ground covers, but if i remember correct they need some very special mounting and it was just not worth it for me. I am able to get about 3 years max out of mine. Just buy the cheapest you can find and expect to replace it.

    Selecting the correct pool pump.

Welcome to the forum. That is a monster pump for that pool and you could definitely go with a much smaller pump. Have you checked the suction lines for blockage? Is there any damage to the pump housing that would cause the seals to not stay sealed? I would replace the pump just because it is...

Replacing 3/4hp pump with 1.5ph pump: To much pump?? Will I Have issues?

Hi, I had a 1.5hp pump on the same size filter. It will work. It does blow through the filter. And and your electric bill will go way up. If your swim season is very long at all you will probably save money buying a 3/4hp. Oh suction side will probably need hard plumbed or really good hose...

First Pool Winning battles - losing war with Algae

I had the same problem. I had a bucket of pucks i didn’t think i would ever use. I use the pucks in the toilet tank. I use a wide mouth mason jar to hold the puck and to keep the chlorine level down. I've been doing this for a couple years now and the only time I had any "problem" was when we...

Still cloudy after all these days . . .

Yep that's backwards cc is the second test and should be 0, fc is the first test, assuming you are using the recommended test kit. Give the DE a try it might work for you, I don't see much difference in my pool using it. Sent from my SCH-I200 using Tapatalk

Still cloudy after all these days . . .

I would let the kids in the pool if the fc level was close to shock level. But it's your kids and pool. Kids are really good at stirring up the water. That water looks good, but I can't tell you how long it will take to clear just that it will. I also can't tell you how long it will take for...

PLEASE HELP: Need advice on reverting a swamp to a sparkly blue!

Do you know the size of your pool in gallons? If not at the bottom of the pool math page is a calculator for that. Not to scare you but the amount of bleach/chlorine needed in the beginning is hard to imagine, untill you have done it. My pool is 17000 gallons to rase the chlorine levels to 30...

That valve is called a diverter valve amazon link and can be found at just about any pool supply store. Another great thing about them is they come in multiport configurations. I have found that pvc unions HomeDepot link can be very handy. The first time I plumbed my AG I tried to make it look...
