    The pool is 18x36x28. Thats not sand in the bottom it's masonary cement. Thanks for all the kind words, the PB is coming back this morning so I Hope to have more pic up later.

    To close or not?

    I will be covering it with a Black winter tarp and water bags for this year because the concrete patio will be poured in the spring. You guys are not making this decision very easy with mixed thoughts. I'm not worried about the cost of water in draining some(water here is cheap) Just wondering...

    I'm about to become a new pool owner, they dig next week. Just wondering if I should fill the pool to the normal depth and stabilize the water condition before closing which will be costing more in water and chemicals to have to drain it down in a few weeks.     This forum is so much help! I have one other question, What all do I need to bond? Pump, Heater, SGW control box, Pool frame, Ladder rails, Sub panel, Timer, do i need to bond the aux receptical or pool lights. Is there anything i'm missing or doing anything i don't need.

    I like the idea of the variable speed pump. The PB is selling us the Hayward Super Pump 3/4 HP, but I think the Hayward TriStar Energy Solution would be better. Anyone know what kind of price difference there is and should we stick with 3/4HP?
