New SWG - Cloudy haze out of return, and chem test questions!

1.5hp century pump - single stage. I will bump up the FC and the CYA levels to what they should be at and increase run time. From there, how do I best determine what % to run the SWG at for routine usage?

    High water table

It seems they were talking about the standard pool pump. I'm thinking their statement of "it went away after running the pump" was more-so happenstance from the water table lowering itself and the pool liner resetting itself naturally. When replacing liner they noticed there was no well...

New SWG - Cloudy haze out of return, and chem test questions!

Hello, Will start off with an apology for the word dump, but could use some help/guidance! I just had a pentair, intellichlor IC40 installed, (about 4 days ago) and am working to get the balance correct in the pool. 1) I am noticing now a cloudy haze near the shallow end in my return, that...

    High water table

How effective are pumps at managing a high water table? My brother in law recently moved into his house, and after opening the pool this year found the liner floated and was dealing with a higher water table. Previous owners said they typically ran the pump for a while and the issue would go...

Fairly New Pool Owner- Experiencing Potential Liner Issues

I've been doing the steps above, just with the added lowering of the water levels. Assuming its water table related then and will fill and see how that solves out. Also will probably stop doing that with my pool then too.......

Fairly New Pool Owner- Experiencing Potential Liner Issues

I helped out with closing this out. Water was lowered here right below the skimmers so no water was going in. I do the same in mine and never had an issue with liner creasing. Everything I see / read when looking at says it should be dropped 3-6" below the skimmer as well. If closing out...

    New SWG

Next week I am scheduled to have my liner replaced. Shortly after I plan on adding a SWG. Pool will be filled with water from hose, and I am assuming then get my pH, TA, CYA, CH and CC/FC in line with regular liquid chlorine once it is filled and running the pool as if it was "opened"...

Pump caps burning - possible tight fit?

Just updated the post too. I did a full upgrade on it (mounting plate, seal plate, impeller, shaft seals/gaskets, diffuser, the only original piece remaining was the wet strainer housing Original pump - Hayward SP1607Z1M, 1 hp replaced with Century 1.5 hp UST1152. Also replaced all drive...

Pump caps burning - possible tight fit?

All, Hoping someone can help here. I posted recently about needing a new pump, and went the route of replacing the motor and parts instead to save a bit. Ordered replacement motor and drivetrain setup (all mounting plates, seals, etc) last month, and then last week found the impeller fused to...

    Help! Need a new pump

Thanks! I checked into it, but going the less expensive route for now...... Keeping the wet assembly and adding a 1.5 hp upgraded motor and had to get the new drivetrain for it too..... should run really smooth once it all gets hooked up!

    Help! Need a new pump

Alright, i know the time was going to come sooner or later, but time has now come where I need a new pump. Coming to the end of my slam when opening, the pump is making a very loud grinding noise, and is very warm to the touch - I believe bearings are shot in the unit and theres a lot of...
