Glass tile haze - best way to remove without hurting grout?

Hi I've developed this white haze around the tile. I haven't tested with muriatic acid to see if it's calcium but I assume it is? I can go over it with dilute MA but I am concerned that it will remove the grout. Would love to hear any tips or recommendations! Thanks

    SLAM help

Ok that is good to know. I will keep at it. Not sure where it is hiding but it has to stop some time! :) The only other variable with this early season SLAM is I accidentally dumped DE in when in backwash mode. It's been a few backwashes since then but I don't THINK that could be a...

    SLAM help

I was going to ask a SLAM question too so will tack it on here. I have SLAMed in the past but usually mid season and it takes about 4-5 days. This year, I am SLAMing after opening and I am up to well over a week with a CC of 1.5 still. The water is so clear but I know the criteria. I am well...

It took me 15 years but I added DE when the filter was still in backflush mode - must I clean the grids?

Hi As the title says, I added my DE before remembering to switch the filter back to filter mode and all DE went into the pool. I brushed and filtered and then backwashed and added DE the right way. Won't make that error again. I had read here that there is no need to take apart the filter...

Local acid wash - how to?

Thanks for the bump - things maybe get quiet in the off season :)

Local acid wash - how to?

So, all season I was never able to budge a ring of scale from my pool left over from the previous winter (Scaling - does it help to add additional chemicals beyond controlling chemistry?). I have drained the pool below the ring for the winter closing. I thought of taking a sponge and wiping...

Aquarite acting up with new cell

ooohhhhhh. OK, then it must be working properly. Perhaps I am not at a setting high enough to keep up with the FC demand. I did start at a lower level. I will keep an eye on it. thank you.

Aquarite acting up with new cell

Yes: When I reset it this evening: 73 degrees 24.7 5.27 31p 3100 r.14 I went out a little while after that and voltage and amps were 30 and 0 Just checking again just now and its back to 24.7 and 5.2 Perhaps I am misunderstanding how to read the panel? Is this normal fluctuation?

Aquarite acting up with new cell

Hi I have an aquarite/goldrite panel and a t-15 cell. I recently replaced the old cell with the same model, brand name and brand new - not generic. Something has been going on and I hope that someone recognizes the issue. The unit stops putting out chlorine, and I reset it, and...

Question about calculating pump run time.

I never paid much attention to run time but I would like to. I have a sta-rite filter, system:3 S8D110. It does not seem to be variable speed. Looking on the filter, it shows a max flow rate of 106 Gal/min and a filtration area of 53 sqft for a filtration rate of 2 gpm/sqft. I assume flow...

    SLAM-ing. Where is the demand?

Can't explain the blip (which was tested twice) but this afternoon it is 0. Maybe a quirk of the large CYA slug. Anyway, back to crystal bliss!

    SLAM-ing. Where is the demand?

I did add 70ppm liquid CYA last evening. Hoping that may explain the bump somehow, given the fact that this time I was definitely done with the SLAM.
