Ok, thanks. I guess I am headed back to store for another bottle or two...

I have been adding it via a sock tied in front of the jet, which would be the return line coming out of the filter. That's why it has been such a slow process, I fill the sock, wait until it is all gone, then fill the sock again.

So have added 4 lbs of CYA to my pool now over the course of the last 20 days, it is still not registering! Water still extremetly cloudy. I had my ph at 7.6 when i started slamming. I have been bringing my chlorine up to 10-12ppm based on the chart.

Yesterday, I decided to do a deep clean on my filter. I had never found that idea on here before. It was so bad we decided the sand needed to be replaced. I am hoping that helps clear things up. I had already tried DE in my filter. I have the Taylor kit, so I know my numbers are accurate...

I was actually just curious what others are seeing with theirs. Mine is/was a swamp. lol. I have been through at least 40 gallons of 10% chlorine. Still SLAMming. Pool is blue-ish but very cloudy. I am about to give up. Getting close to the $200 mark on chlorine just to get it open.

Just curious what you cost is on startup on chlorine/bleach?

Thank you, I will check that out. We have one of those lady bug crawler things but I don't think it does a very good job. I don't like doing the manual one, but like I said lady bug literally sucks at sucking. LOL. So, I don't know what else to do.

I need to vacuum our pool out, both our old ones are shot, so need to replace. I don't know if it is best to get a manual one or one of the automatic ones? I hate the water waste, i don't know which is going to do the best job in the quickest amount of time to limit the water waste?

So do I add more cya and go ahead and vacuum? It seems like I will be losing soooooo much water doing that? Or do I vacuum and then fill my sock with CYA again? Thanks,
