Yes, TH is total Hardness. I can do the same tests in my kit minus the FC test. I have a total Chlorine test. I hope I'm not confusing.

Ok, I didn't realize I was testing the water wrong. I'm using a HTH 6 to 1 test kit and read the Chlorine wrong. I just tested my water and at 92 degrees, I'm getting 3.5 CL 8 PH 120 TA 120 TH

I just checked and my numbers now are: (now that I'm reading the gauge correctly) 3.5 CL 8 PH 120 TA 120 TH Is this a better starting place?

Ok, I feel like a goof. I read it wrong. It was so yellow that I read it was a 5 to 10 with it on the high side. Looking at a picture of the tester, it's a 5ppm for CL and 10 for Br but I didn't do a Br test.(that I remember).

I have added nothing to the water yet. This is the water coming out of the tap from the city. I wasn't expecting the numbers to be so high so I could follow the Pool School instructions but since they are, I'm stumped.

Well that's just it, these are the numbers right out of my water hose that I filled the pool with. Just city water. I was just reading about the Stabilizer and will get some of it tonight to add.

So as I'm filling up my pool I checked my numbers with a Walmart Test kit. My numbers are: 9 TC 8 PH 120ppm TA 120ppm TH CYA was so low the test failed twice. Any advice?

So I just purchased a 17' Polygroup pool :-D and I see I can purchase a UV Sanitizer, or Salt Water System. I was wondering if anyone used a UV Sanitizer and if you did, do you use any chemicals? I am about to set it up and was wondering which way I should go. Thank you, Bret
