Dirt in pool after pouring Muriatic Acid

The dirt (discolored substance) came out right after the acid hit the bottom suction of the pool so I am 99.99% sure it had something to do with the acid, I read on the forum that if you pour acid on calcium build up it breaks it down which is what I assume has happened, this being said the...

Dirt in pool after pouring Muriatic Acid

Hi everyone, while opening the pool this year I noticed crystallization on the walls and floors of the pool, after searching around on the forum we came to the conclusion that the PH of the water was high, we poured in 4L of acid to bring down the PH and took care of balancing the rest of the...

    crystallization in gunite pool

I bought some chlorine pucks and jimmy rigged it in a basket it in the pool with two pucks. I have a salt cell but since I do not get home until around 8 in the evening I thought it would support the existing salt cell. I hope I did not do anything that would somehow damage anything in the pool.

    Handheld pool vacuum recommendations

Mine lasts about 45 mins, that being said its still new so I would not be surprised if the run time diminishes over time as its normal with any battery device, even the Tesla model S loses its battery capacity over time.

    Draining pool after heavy rain

thanks for the replies! the other question I had was: does the valve that contols the waste port and backwash need to be closed or open, right now even with the pump off but valve in the open position I can hear water running when switching to waste port, no sound when switching back to filter.

    Draining pool after heavy rain

Hi everyone, we have rain for the next 2 days (3-4 inches) and my pool is already very full. I wanted to drain the pool a couple of inches as it does not look like there is any overflow basin built into the pool. From my limited knowledge I think I can switch the port on the sand filter to...

Chlorine test results show no chlorine

Thank you for the link, unfortunately my current test kits do not give me measurements for 3 of the requirements. K-2006 test kit is supposed to be here mid July which is quite a long time away. The test strips also don't give an accurate reading.
