Copper (maybe) and the rave ready neon green hair

What are the chances that this damaged my copper core heat exchanger? On one hand I'm assuming the copper is typical type L pipe, so thick enough a week of water chem problems isnt going to "eat" it away.... Yet on the other hand im not even close to a chemist, so its more me hoping it didnt...

Copper (maybe) and the rave ready neon green hair

I only have one pic, and it was pulled from FB. The only pool store is 45 minutes away, and of course I've been on a 4 day rotation of 08:00 - 20:00, so I'm hoping to make it to Moncton on Thursday or Friday.

Copper (maybe) and the rave ready neon green hair

I've recently encountered the neon green hair issue with my pool. My problems started when we went away on vacation for 3 weeks, and left some pucks ( :? don't cringe to much, it was easier then explaining the BBB meathod and the pool calculator to my technologically challenged...

    Pool Heater, SMARTEMP Heat Pump

I recently acquired a pool heater heat pump, with out any manuals etc. It is a SMARTEMP Heat Pump, manufactured by Peregine Industries out of Florida in the late 90's and early 2000's. To the best of my internet surfing abilities, it looks as though the company went bankrupt in the mid 2000's. I...

    COSTCO SUNHEATER SOLAR PANELS

OPPS, I missed part of "my setup" when I did my diagram, there is also a connector between the two panels at the right end between the two manifolds. My panels do have a "baffle" positioned 1/2 way through the manifold on each panel, I'm assuming to create a bit of back preassure to force the...

    COSTCO SUNHEATER SOLAR PANELS

The factory set up seemed very inefficient to me so I changed the set up and added some pipe and caps, and noticed a difference immediatly. The first image (excuse the drawing) is after i made the changes, but the second image is how the factory instructions had the heater set up. My opinion...

    COSTCO SUNHEATER SOLAR PANELS

I recently purchased a set of solar panels from costco (canada), was a bit leary due to the cost compared to a similar size from the local pool store. Costco 4' x 20' panels were $249, compared to pool store price tag of $599. http://www.costco.ca/Browse/Product.aspx?Prodid=10321895&lang=en-CA...

Easier way to get the ick out, easier way to vacuum?

I had the same problem, so I hooked up my manual vacuum, purged the air with the return line as usual, but instead of hooking it into the skimmer, i simply pulled it over the side of the pool, letting the siphoning action empty all the leaves in my back yard. Granted i had to put 4" of water...

    POOL HEATER

well i guess i should have done more research,,,, http://www.gsplans.com/pool_heater_plans.html plus from what i can read here, the general feeling is that it will take to many BTU's to raise my water temp much.
