I realize the cell is near the end of its expected life but if the cell is generating sufficient chlorine why do I need to replace the cell right now? Does the cell read the level of salt in the pool or is that done from the electronics within the Aquarite?

So I finally got the opportunity to bring the cell in to be tested. The cell passed the test and was making chlorine. Should I replace the circuit board next?

Thanks. Ive already replaced the brushes and tracks. And I have a set of bearing from the kit I bought. Looks like I need to get the drive shafts and engine assembly.

Thanks for the reply. I have already checked the interior, there are no obstructions or restrictions. I will try and reduce flow not going to the cleaner but it has quite a bit of suction at the inlet. I think the problem is the cleaner not the line.

Ph is back to 8.2. All I did was run the spa for 10 minutes at a very low setting. Getting frustrated.

I have a 4 plus year old Zodiac. In my last home it worked just fine at about 2800 rpm attached to one of the pool skimmers. We moved and the new house has a working dedicated suction line for the cleaner. The first time I tried the cleaner it moved slowly at 2450 rpm. I checked to make sure...

So.. I checked the ph this morning when the pool started up and it was 7.5 I ran the spa twice for 15 minutes. Once at 9AM and again at 1215. I just retested the pool at 2PM and the ph is back up to 7.8

I have a cleaner but I only run it weekly. What is a good speed to start out to see if the chlorine generation is sufficient?

These were the settings on the pool when we bought the house. They seemed high to me which is why I asked for recommendations.

It's in a cage, but it gets a lot of sun. Eventually I'd like automate it, but in the meantime I can manually run it in the morning and early afternoon. When I can't I will let it run at a small flow.
