I have a hole in the ground, destined to be a pool

Almost as expensive as the muffler bearing on the car...and don't get me started on blinker fluid prices these days.

I have a hole in the ground, destined to be a pool

I thought I'd follow-up after over a year with nothing more than TFP method (and a couple tricks) for our first pool. The pool has been inhabitable by humans (tested everyday) for over an entire year. Nothing more added than what is recommended here, bleach (12.5% ~1/2G day when the pool is...

Q on how to set VSP speed when heater on (automatically)

Yes, I'm pretty sure I found the connection between main pump and cleaner, it's a Virtual Switch (of sorts) that's assigned to an empty Aux. I was thinking of doing the same for the heater, but it sounds like that's not required. I'm a tinkerer, so I've already modified most of the settings...

Q on how to set VSP speed when heater on (automatically)

Great to know, I won't worry so much then. I had visions of forgetting the speed on the main pump and going outside to find a puddle of smoking heater remains.

Q on how to set VSP speed when heater on (automatically)

Greetings, I have iAquaLink setup on my pool with a ePump and a 400k heater. Now that it's cooling off, how do I go about setting the main pump to be at a specific speed when the heater is on? The installer set something up similar for the cleaner, but I'm not sure how he did it. IIRC it is...

I see, it looks like it can be added on as it sits where the plumbing is. I'll likely leave it off, even though I like the idea of bypassing the heater when not needed.

What does it do and should I ask them to install it? (JXi400NK)

Post what your pool cost you to build...

I'm not going to say my price, because it's not so close to some of the prices here for a similar sized pool of PebbleSheen, 19x38 IGP with dual pumps + booster (bubblers, deck jets and a spa station in the pool), coverstar automatic cover and a travertine deck that's integrated into the pool...

I have a hole in the ground, destined to be a pool

I asked about watering it and they told me it's not needed with the mix they use, but I could go out and water the pool if it made me feel better, but I would need a beer in the other hand.

Considering Pebble Tec but have concerns

We actually considered going with BeadCrete, but we heard that it can have issues as well. It was going to be substantially more expensive...buy pay once and enjoy, right? We heard: a) some of the beads break and can be sharp, b) it doesn't shimmer as much installed as it does on the little...

Considering Pebble Tec but have concerns

We're going through the same process and have ended up with PebbleSheen - White Diamonds, it's pretty smooth while still having visible pebbles. We considered Fina, but it looks like plain plaster to us.

Pics with steel completed. This shows one of the skimmers, a corner, the tanning shelf and the retractable covers home. Skimmer and auto-fill as well as a pressure test fitting. You can see one of the LED lights home to the right. A corner, that looks like a LOT of bending of #4 60 grade...
