    New motor not turning

    1.5 hp century, 2 speed, 230 volt. Voltage good at the contacts. Put in new seal, impeller and diffuser. Need to check voltage at the motor, could be loose connections. Will check the movement of the impeller. It does not turn on hi or low speed.

    New motor not turning

    I just put in a 1.5 hp, 230 v, 2 speed century motor. I have 120 on each leg and 230 across them, the motor only hums. I am checking at the contacts not the motor. Put in new seal, impeller and diffuser, will check and see if the impeller turns.
