I'm using a 1 hp Hayward Pump. Would that be sufficient for powering the Aquabug?

I'm thinking about investing in a pool cleaner for my above ground pool. Would the Hayward AquaBug be a good buy for $120 or should I spend more on a better unit? All I need it for is to pick up small debris that settles to the bottom.

The water is coming from the seal in between the Basket housing and the Pump Cover. I replaced that o-ring when I replaced the others a few weeks ago, but for some reason it's still leaking.

Yes. There is a constant flow of water to the skimmer / pump. I'm wondering if I have an air leak in my pump somewhere. When I turn the pump off water leaks from around the pump skimmer housing. I changed all of the seals a few weeks ago, and the skimmer lid is secure.

I would go with Pentair. I have had horrible luck out of my 1 yr. old Hayward pump and filter, and my local dealer no longer warranties Hayward Products. He is a very reasonable guy, but he said that they were having problems with getting reimbursements from Hayward. This isn't the first...

I have a Hayward Power-Flo Matrix 1hp. My pump has started surging or pulsing lately. I can tell because of the sound, and the hoses are always moving back and forth as if there is a slight pause in the pressure. Is this normal or should my pressure always be the same coming from my pump?

I only have one concern about switching to hard plumbing. How easy is it to change your filter sand with the hard plumbing attached? Also, can you buy everything you need at Home Depot? If so, I might do this in a couple of days.

OK. My FC levels have been stable for 3 days now. Should I floc my pool? I have 3 - 1 quart bottles of Aquachem Sink & Sweep left over from last year. It seems to work pretty well in helping remove debris to the bottom. Would it hurt anything to floc it?
