    Intex pump failer?

If you don't mind, what day of the week and time of day did you call? I just got off the phone with customer service about a SWCG that won't generate chlorine despite it running through the cycle. I was told my salt was low. That isn't what the salt test says and I don't get a low salt error...

Installing a fountain in a Intex Ultra Frame

That adapter that came with my deluxe skimmer fits over the grill without any problem.

Installing a fountain in a Intex Ultra Frame

After looking at the picture again, I see it is 1-1/2" PVC you need to connect to. The Intex adapter and one of these http://www.homedepot.com/h_d1/N-5yc1v/R ... reId=10051 should do the trick, cheap and easy.

Installing a fountain in a Intex Ultra Frame

I think the gray grill will have to go. Since it is not in the pool yet, you can saw it off with a hacksaw or a regular hand saw. You could also use a hole saw to cut a big hole in the middle. If memory serves me correctly you can get a decent fit with a 1-1/4" slip coupling with a little...

New to Forums - Vetran Pool Owner with Intex Questions

If you just bought the SWCG last year, it should still be under warranty. If you have your receipt, call Intex to have it replaced. Even if you have a new one, you can use the replacement as a backup or sell it.

    Intex Threaded Strainer Connectors

My pool is a 2009 Intex 18’x48” metal frame that came with the old through-the-wall threaded connector without the grated strainer. Last summer I bought an Intex sand filter/pump combo and it came with the new threaded strainer connectors with the grate pictured below. This year when I hooked...

    vaccuum adaptation?

If you have the Intex skimmer, a 1.5" vacuum hose should fit nicely over the adapter that attaches the skimmer hose to the through-the-wall adapter. A 1.25" vac hose with a soft cuff can also be pressed inside it. Otherwise, there are lots of creative ways.

    Drain or Shock mini swamp?

I decided to shock it. Mid way through the process I was really regretting my decision. It went from green to cloudy quickly, but progress really slowed down after that. There were several days where I couldn't tell any progress at all. If I had it to do over, I would drain it. All is well...

    Intex CS8110 Salt sensor question

If it is still under warranty and you have a receipt, call Intex for a replacement. If it is out of warranty or you just want to fix it, here is what I would try in order: 1. Clean the cell with vinegar. 2. Flip over the big plug that powers the cell (Reverse polarity). 3. Open the case and...

    Drain or Shock mini swamp?

I really can't decide whether to drain or shock. Intex round 18' x 48" pool. Pool in kept up year round and winterized like a regular above ground pool. Last year water was as clean as could be at opening. This year when I pulled the cover off it was already green. It is about half full and...

    Modifications to My Summer Escapes.

Wow, that is a great deal, especially for a location that far south where there is still quite a bit of summer left. Did you buy one and if so, are you putting it up this year or waiting until next year?

    Intex Pool Sinking

Here is a picture of someone's method for jacking up the pool http://www.levelgroundpool.com/images/jack-up-pool.JPG. It looks unstable to me. Maybe it would be more stable if you nailed the wooden pieces together like a small ladder and maybe even used two jacks, one on each side.
