Thoughts on this setup for winter cover....

We use the cover wrap, 3rd winter, and it definitely does its job! My pool gets the brunt of winter storm winds and never have had any issues with cover coming off.

    Closing AGP really that easy?

I do not use a pillow under my cover.

    Tunnels

Got them too...moles, voles and chipmunks. A few divets under the pool liner now after 3 years of it being installed. Hate. Them. ;)

    Leaf Net Cover??

So glad I read this thread...just bought a leaf cover for my 24ft this year. They look like they have quite a bit of room that go down the sides that I may just be able to fit it right over the top of my ladder too...winning! My beloved solar cover bit the dust this year but they are a pain...

Any way to pump water off cover back into pool?

There was yuck on top I couldn't remove with my leaf rake so took the route of pumping off with a nylon over end of pump. Sent from my SM-T310 using Tapatalk

Can I raise pool cover enough that water could run directly off it

I pumped mine off of the cover and back into the pool this year with a nylon over the end of the pump so big debris did not go back into the pool water...worked great!

Any way to pump water off cover back into pool?

Update: after a week of pumping because of a week of constant rain, was FINALLY able to get the cover off. I knew the water would be a bit cloudy as the water on top of the cover I was pumping back into the pool wasn't the cleanest but truly wasn't that bad. The CC was only .5! So I slammed...

Any way to pump water off cover back into pool?

Thanks for the advice! The water is a bit green on top but like you've said, dump and SLAM with lots of circulation. Loved to open to crystal clear last spring but not that water truck bill. :)

Any way to pump water off cover back into pool?

We live in the country with a VERY old well pump so normally every year I have pool water trucked in to the tune of $250+ to fill up the pool. This year there is quite a bit of water on the cover and wondering if anyone has successfully pumped the water off their cover back into the pool...

2013 Pool Closing Pictures....Let's see them

You can use a skimmer gizmo or I take an empty algaecide bottle and put it nozzle size down. The water is drained below your skimmer so no frozen water will be in it. Remove the basket for the winter and I put a rock on top of the skimmer cover to keep it on. The skimmer itself is pretty...

2013 Pool Closing Pictures....Let's see them

From reading the comments, most have "sudo" closed as the water wasn't quite cold enough (60 degrees or below) to completely close. I drain mine 2-3" below the return outlet to remove the pump and hoses for the winter.
