Water level rose after closing - Fiberglass

Excellent, thanks all. Have a little pump similar to what you’ve shared and drained twice already. Pool just froze in the last few days but waterline is below the gizmo and pool noodle will also give. Water in the skimmer box, but I feel much better after the advice.

Water level rose after closing - Fiberglass

So you're lowering the fiberglass pool below the skimmer? I'm looking at draining a foot or so? Skimmer almost full at this point. Maybe the pull builders lowered below the skimmer last year but they closed without me there, unfortunately. I checked periodically and water was in the skimmer...

Water level rose after closing - Fiberglass

Second year with the pool, but first year closing myself. Watched many a video and read many a thread, and I feel confident about the way I closed the plumbing. We closed about a month ago. Was putting away some furniture and I got curious since we’ve had unseasonably warm weather, so I took...

    Spider Ingress Hole Solution

So our fiberglass pool has aluminum brackets on the top to secure the concrete decking. One of the corners wasn’t aligned perfectly and I’m pretty sure the earth is exposed behind. This is the spider corner. I have to check it every time my kids get in because half the time a big wolf spider...

New Build - Illinois Suburbs - Leisure Pools Elegance 23

As for the pool itself, I couldn’t be happier. Especially this summer with pools closed we’ve been in it every nice day. The pool was the wife’s idea and I was a little hesitant at first. But like how the family dog can become “yours” I’ve embraced the care of this beauty and couldn’t be...

New Build - Illinois Suburbs - Leisure Pools Elegance 23

Hey Steve, Sorry, didn’t see this notification until today. I have been satisfied with Signature. We’ve had a light go out twice and both times Signature replaced within a day or two. Manufacturer defects happen but the fact they fixed the issue so quickly speaks volumes. Construction went...

Intellichlor Ic40 issues after power loss?

Appreciate the responses. Went back out to check and the lights were still “railroading” as Jim put it. Did a system reset via diagnostics on the EasyTouch system and have given it another 20-30 minutes. Lights are still doing the same thing and my Screenlogic system is reading 0ppm as the...

Intellichlor Ic40 issues after power loss?

We had a minute of power loss after some torrential rain this morning. I was out at the pad to lower my water level and I noticed my Intelichlor alternating blinking lights like I’ve never seen before (will try to attach video). Green Good blinks, then Red Salt blinks alternating every 1/4...

    Opening an Inground Saltwater Pool

I opened my Saltwater pool today using the thread Texas listed above as a guide. A lot less stressful than I thought it would be! Opened to clear water (my goal with opening early) so after the system mixed water good I added some salt and other chemicals as recommended by the Pool Math App...

    Extra plug?

Ah, the heater. Simply didn’t know it had a plug. The PB came by and closed the pool in 15 minutes without me around to watch/learn so I wasn’t sure. Thanks for the help!

    Extra plug?

Thinking of opening my pool in the next few days; mainly because I have the time with the lockdown and all. It’ll be my first year opening and I feel relatively confident in my ability (and could save $500 rather than having the PB do it in 15 minutes.) That said, I started walking through my...
