    Slam Plan & Prep Questions

No, I've seen previous pool guys use these, but never have had one. Do I connect it to the skimmer? There are two holes under my skimmer basket. Choose either one? What if I connect it to the side wall suction that my crawler uses? My filter does not have a waste setting. How do I vacuum to...

    Slam Plan & Prep Questions

Thanks for your response. I have already read the SLAM process, and will continue to review it as I near the day that I begin that process. As far as vacuum to waste, if there are specific brands that are preferred, it would greatly help me to know. I haven't done that before, so I'm not...

    Slam Plan & Prep Questions

Warmer months ahead, so planning to really clean up the pool and get ready family swimming. Though the water is clear, I've noticed green algae forming on walls over the past couple of months. I scrub the walls after adding the suggested amounts of acid and chlorine (as per Pool Math app), but...

Pump Turned Off - Where Did the Water Go?

The pool level didn’t change, but the water level in the spa was well below the returns. Jim R, I’m not sure what photos of my equipment pad you refer to. I turned the pump back on and the spa refilled to its normal level.

Pump Turned Off - Where Did the Water Go?

I had to turn my pool pump off for two days. In that time, the spa drained more than half of its volume. Where did the water go?

High Winds Blowing Excess Debris Into Pool

I have one and just finished doing a fair job of scooping out about 90%. The rest is smaller stuff and the crawler can handle that. Not an easy job, especially when the net I have is double layered for strength. Right, it takes a LOT of strength to move it through the water! hahaha

High Winds Blowing Excess Debris Into Pool

When high winds are blowing a lot of debris into the pool, would it be a good idea to turn off the pump, and avoid having the skimmer get clogged? Yes, I could increase my cleanout routine, but we're talking about having to do that 3 times or more each day the wind is blowing. It's a LOT of debris.

PSA: PoolMath app runs on macOS (desktop) too!

I thought the app adjusted the targets based on the test? I'm still a newb that is still learning, but it's a reasonable assumption, yes?

    Feature Request - Export Expenses

Is there a way to export expenses? A .csv would be enable users to track monthly expenses in a spreadsheet. A newbie (like me) will have some startup costs. Being able to see those costs settle down to a monthly trend will be very helpful. A long-time user can also compare the costs of...

PSA: PoolMath app runs on macOS (desktop) too!

I tried it on my Macbook Pro. It looks ok at first, but now I'm noticing some differences in the recommendations. In these two screenshots, you'll see the results of yesterday's pH test. My iPhone's app recommends 14oz of MA, while the app on my Macbook recommends 20oz. Target pH is off, too...
