I've asked this before, please don't stone me... sand level?

Re: I've asked this before, please don't stone me... sand le Yes, I know the HP... but I wasn't asking what the HP was. In my thread from 4 years ago I was trying to figure out if my pump and filter came as a combo.... because since all identifying marks are painted over on the filter, I was...

I've asked this before, please don't stone me... sand level?

Re: I've asked this before, please don't stone me... sand le I don't know why I haven't done this before... but I just measured the circumference of the filter using something to wrap around the body of the filter in the middle and then measuring that with a regular retractable measuring...

I've asked this before, please don't stone me... sand level?

Re: I've asked this before, please don't stone me... sand le I listed it as the that combination due to being told that is the closest thing it looks like. I'll look and see if I can find the old pics.... or else take new ones. Any thought on why so little sand was in the filter? Can that...

I've asked this before, please don't stone me... sand level?

I asked this 2-3 years ago and got replies from helpful people but didn't get any helpful replies. To recap regarding my setup.... used pool, bought from a 'pool guy' close to 5 years ago. The sand filter was painted with a textured paint and there's no labels left to view. It looks identical...

anyone fixed or replaced transformer on Intex SWG?

I know there are several threads here talking about dead Intex SWG with bad transformers. Has anyone been able to fix the transformer itself? Or found a hack/replacement transformer that's cheaper than buying a new unit? Does anyone have a bad SWG but still has a good transformer that they...

Kreepy Krauly Great White or Kreepy Krauly Kruiser

I suggest the AquaCritter. I had a cleaner similar to the function/design of the kreepy krauly and it did a marginal to poor job most of the time.

    Dark Green Pool

Exactly. I was going to post the same thing. What is the name of the store? A local business or a national chain? Although as it has been suggested, getting a drop test kit instead of strips and coming here for help, we'll help you get your pool sparkling clean for the least amount of...

aquacritter is awesome - so far

I don't have a center drain on my AGP so I can't comment about that issue. But I steps (not just a ladder) and it had no problem going around them. It did not get tangled up and stuck in one place during the entire 8 hours or so I left it going. It cleaned the bottom a lot quicker than that...

aquacritter is awesome - so far

After getting a deal on the Aquacritter ($89 shipped if I remember correctly), I received it about 3 weeks ago. But I just opened it today. From box opening to time it starting roving around and spotlessly cleaning the bottom was about 15 minutes and that was me just taking my time and...

Backswimmers get me out of trouble please!

Maybe for a few minutes until the filter removed it, especially if it's a sand filter.

AARRGGHH!!!!, Nieghbours dog destroyed my pool!

And why haven't you pulled your truck up to the van and matched up the dents and show him the paint on his van?

Intex cartridge vs. Sand filters-size particle removed??

Which SWG do you have? I would recommend keeping the Intex put up somewhere as a backup. They go for $199 in most stores during the start of pool season every year (always a little cheaper online). But since you basically get it for free, it would make an excellent backup for when the one...

anyone see the Intek SWG on clearance yet?

I know about the free one on walmart.com. I wouldn't mind finding one or two more SWG's cheap to have on hand and don't want to try and get rid of the sandfilter/pump from the above combo. I've read in the past where users here have found them at Target for $30-$40 at the end of swim season...
