Hey all I feel I'm at the mercy of our local pool company due to the schedule my wife and I keep. We have a non-profit, and we live in Cambodia for 3 months, twice a year (Jan-March and July-October). While we're gone, I have our local pool company take care of things, but they, of course...

Everything still seems to be going well, and we've loving the pool! Today's numbers are: FC: 6 CC: - pH: 7.7 TA: 110 CH: 260 CYA: 40 I used the pool calc to get my CH up to the target area, and the CYA has just been dropping on its own over the last few months. All seems well!

The returns are pointing down, so the only aeration is when we run the foam jets when we're in the pool, but that's only once a week or so.

Things are still cranking along, getting into a routine! I add enough bleach to raise FC 1-2ppm every day, and my pH goes from 7.6 to 7.8 every 2 days. Is this normal for pH? How on earth are people who only check pH once a week able to keep things in check -- or is my constant pH rise due in...

Weather allowed us a great day of enjoying the pool, and I noticed a white, chalky build-up ONLY around the tiles under the spa overflow. As you'll see in the pics, the buildup was mainly concentrated on the grout. I could easily wipe it off, and then it disintegrated into the pool water...

After an apparent False Algae Alarm, my FC is still running high -- but it dropped form 25 to 22, so it's coming down. :D I assume it's best to just let it drop naturally as opposed to using ChemOut to drop it, correct? I also assume that it's okay for me to continue treating/maintaining my pH...

Sounds good. At least I learned how to easily maintain a shock level throughout the day! :mrgreen: I burned through a lot of chemicals, so my 2006 is finally running low -- so I ordered TF-100 just now. Thanks, all!

I'll shock it up to 24ppm all day, then do another overnight test.
