Trying to find a smooth plaster finish.

I agree, probably don't expect a uniform color with fina. My fina install definitely has some "blotchiness" and streaking-- but I really like it. The dark color I chose (sapphire galaxy) with the bits of sparkle just makes it more like space to me. The feel of it is perfect, extremely smooth.

Trying to find a smooth plaster finish.

Pebbletec's smooth is "pebblefina" and it's quite nice. Still happy with mine, my feet don't get torn up like they do in a classic pebbletec pool

Where to get just a regular straight slide that's not a plastic monstrosity

Safety regulations led me to the actual lawsuit against aquaslide by the CPSC and they were sued because of the risk of paraplegia from headfirst sliding into the shallow end, and Aquaslide's argument that regs just be changed to mandate deep water install was determined to increase the risk of...

Where to get just a regular straight slide that's not a plastic monstrosity

Safety regulations make a lot of sense, I might be reduced to trolling craigslist/FB marketplace for used decks. Thanks for the insight.

Where to get just a regular straight slide that's not a plastic monstrosity

I guess in general, why are there no straight slides, there's curves, twists, bends. Weird.

Where to get just a regular straight slide that's not a plastic monstrosity

Remember every pool slide from the '70s? Does something even close to that exist in the US market anymore? SR Smith has the rogue, which looks like the evolution of aquaslide but it's only available in a turning version. AstralPool seems to still make one, but they are EU only...

Water Temperature for A Dip or More

As a youth when the pool hit 68 I was in there. Now I won't get in under 80. Maybe 79 if it's really hot out.

    Actuator question

The switch on the valve actuator reverses the on/off positions, so if you're in "pool" mode, and you flip that switch to send water to the spa instead, that's where it will be in pool mode until you manually flip it back. edit: beaten by seconds!

    Automatic pool safety cover

I also have an auto cover in the desert, also didn't want a pool fence, and you can really mitigate summer heat gain by only running the pump at night pulling from the drain from midnight onward as long as you need to generate enough chlorine. With the cover on unless we're swimming, there's...

    Pool Math........The App

I have a feature suggestion after helping a friend get their pool set up-- it could be really useful if there was quick access either in the test results screen or on the summary screen for the test procedure for all of the readings. I only do TA / Calcium a few times a year and I always end...
