I have been using the same pool store for 2+ years, they never once tried to sell me anything, I just go in once a month and buy 10% chlorine from them. They don't ask, and I don't tell. 2.5 gallons for $4.00.

I have 5 2.5 gallon refillable containers I get 10% in from the pool store. I put 3 quarts of this in each bleach bottle (been using the same bottles for 2 years). Then once a week I have my dad add 2 bottles to my chlorinator. He is 87 years old and can not lift the 2.5 gallon containers...

Just took out about a dozen of them, yea they hurt like the devil. Easy to take out, the roots are as soft as potato's and can be cut off with a shovel. Once out, I poured concentrated Roundup straight on the exposed roots, so far they are not coming back.

I own a fence company in NC, and we recommend CWF (clear wood finish) available at Lowes, or Home Depot. Apply with a garden sprayer once every couple of years. However we mainly install treated pine fencing, so you maght want to keep that in mind, and talk to a local paint store.

If you are in FLA, and it does sound that way, the state will control the mosquito's if you geve them a call. They will either put mosquito eating minnows in the pool, or pucks, depending on if it has an enclosure. Also if you are in a development the HOA may handle it.
