    sand in pool

No, I'm vacuuming to waste and then I put it back on filter. As soon as it goes into filter, I put my hand on the return line and I can feel the sand going right back into the pool. What do I check first? I'm not handy, is this something I can fix myself or will I need to call the pool store?

    sand in pool

The sand got into the pool because we had alot of kids over and they kept jumping in out of the pool. Their feets carried the sand into the pool.

    sand in pool

Hi, I've been trying to remove alot of sand that is sitting on the deep end of my pool. I have vacummed to waste several times and as soon as I turn the filter the back on after vacumming from waste I can see all the sand return to the pool from the return line. Is there a way of permanently...

Came back to green pool, I shocked to 15 since my cya is 30, after 4 days, pool was back to blue to but cloudy. I can see low end but the deep end is cloudy...

blue water but can't see deep end - low end is now visible

I picked up a 8lb container of CYA from Leslie's. It said to not clean the skimmer in the next 72 hours. With still fighting to clean dead leaves in the deep end of the pool, it is impossible to not clean the skimmer basket and backwash. I think I'm going to return it tomorrow and purchase the...

blue water but can't see deep end - low end is now visible

Duraleigh, When I go to my Lowe's/Leslie's store, is the product called CYA? Is it in powder form? How soon after, can I test for cya? Jasonlion, Almost all of the 10 pucks I placed in skimmer basket are disolved now. But, I'm probably not getting a reading since I'm constantly backwashing...

I already have the pucks in the skimmer basket - It has been about 3 days now. To get some cya real fast, should I run out and buy a couple di-chlor instead? How many would I need for my pool size of 33,000 gallon? Thanks,

I have a sand filter. I backwashed for an hour yesterday-still nothing. The pessure gauge is sitting a 0. My line must be clogged.
