    1.6mm pebbles vs 3mm pebbles?

The aggregate in ours ranges from 1mm-3.5mm, based on the sample I kept for my daughter. Its a mixture of stone and glass beads. The stone sizes vary a lot more than the glass.

    1.6mm pebbles vs 3mm pebbles?

I think it's safe to assume the 1.6mm would be smoother, as it would have half the effective radius as the 3.0mm, therefor less appreciable surface area = smoother perceived finish. We just did a wet edge prism finish, which combined their small and large stone + glass beads, and its perfect...

    And another DFW pool

Very nice! My brother and sister in law brought our niece over, so we had a chance to swim (only day 2 of 'approved' swim time) and watch the Astros close out the regular season. Trees and lighting looks awesome! Did something similar with string lights between our patio and shed...

    New Build - Texas

Similar to ours. We were "estimated" at 15.5k gallons, but filled right at 14k. I think the tanning ledge (similar in total size to yours, it would seem) isn't accounted for in the programs they use to build the design. We were also stagnant for about 36 hours before starting everything up...

    Let the games begin...

Well, time for an update. Conveniently, at least. The next few weeks and into the holidays get rather busy for us between work, family activities, etc. Had some nice full sun opportunity to take pictures. Color has settled in nicely. My wife is hoping for a little more blue, but I'm...

    San Juan Pools of Colorado

I try not to hold it against smaller businesses for having a dated website. Yes, even in this day and age. Some simply lack the desire or skills necessary to maintain it on their own, and short of a buddy deal (we all know how these can go), it can be a massive expense to take on to update...

    Let the games begin...

It'll be a few weeks before we start it up. They did initially plumb it with the inlet too short, and I had them extend it to the 10" requirement, which also extended the discharge side. Time will tell, I suppose. Pool finished filling around 0800. I dropped down to a single hose so I...
