    Japanese Maple

Thanks for the responses. I've pretty much abandoned the idea of placing them behind the pool, as there is hardly any shade. :( I have a bloodgood in the front of my house that is thriving. So I'll have to work out somewhere in the front that gets shade for the new green maples.

    Japanese Maple

Hello, We live in north Dallas area. I found some green Japanese Maple saplings dirt cheap. Naturally, I couldn't resit buying some. Before I place them in the ground and potentially kill them, has anybody had any success growing them in about 80% sun? I have some other locations with more...

    Venturi Skimmer question

I have Venturi skimmers in my pool. The suction is closed, and the return is barely open. I have a considerable amount of flow into the skimmers. You can usually tell by looking at the weir door and seeing how far down it is. One thing to remember, is that a variable speed pump will effect...

    Stenner tube replacement

I got the replacement tubes today only to discover they were the same length. After getting frustrated trying expand the roller assembly using tips mentioned above, I noticed a little extra plastic piece in the packaging. After close inspection of the instructions, it turned out to be a fan...

    Stenner tube replacement

Absolutely, I tried stretching that thing. I even let the pump run for 10 minutes to help stretch it, but no luck. - - - Updated - - - Thanks, that is not a bad idea. I will give that a try tomorrow. That pump made me lazy... back to manual dosing for now..

    Stenner tube replacement

My Stenner pump stopped pumping chlorine into my pool, and I discovered a small crack in the tube. I went to replace the tube with the spare that came with the pump only to find out that it was about 3/8 to 1/2 inch shorter that the cracked tube. I couldn't expand the roller assembly to make...

    Disable solar sensor on Aqualink

Ok, all of my dip switches are off. Pins 3 and 4 have nothing connected. I am using the solar JVA for my water feature. I'm sure you have the following image already, but I'll post it just in case. Its not the best quality.

Aqualink RS6 with iAqualink 2.0 and OneTouch

I assume its possible, this is from the IQ20 install manual. "When installing the iAquaLink 2.0 device indoors, if another AquaLink wired interface (ie. OneTouch™, All-button, etc.) is mounted indoors, the two devices may share an RS-485 (4-wire) cable to communicate from inside the home to the...

    Liquidator AND Rainbow Chlorinator?

In the grand scheme of things, there is not much difference in a liquidator at $170 and a stenner at $250. The 15 gallon tanks can be found for $20. Even if you don't do this right away, since you are considering it, I would definately ask your PB to install a tee to handle the injection...

1st Time New Build N of DFW...Couple of questions and your thoughts appreciated!

Looks nice. I would definately upgrade the PDA PS4 to the PS6 at a minimal if you want to add anything later. With the PS4, you will probably have all your relays used. 1 for main pump, 1 for air blower, 1 for spa light, and 1 for pool light.

Drilling and tapping PVC to add injection point

Like tim5055, I also added a tee and unions. Installing the union was a pain for me. I do have a psi gauge, which is tapped into a fitting, not the pvc pipe.

    In floor cleaning run time

Hmm, I can increase or decrease the time in each zone. I'm sure I can get it running for 2 full rotations in less than 3 hours the PB has it currently running for. Yup, but doing so without unnecessary run time!
