    Troubleshooting Aquarite SWG

Currently the pump is running 24 hrs/day. When the pool is cleared up after opening and in regular operation, I use a timer. Is there something else I need to be doing to ensure the power is removed from the SWG? Thanks for your feedback.

    Troubleshooting Aquarite SWG

Thanks for your help. I checked it first thing this morning…the low salt / inspect lights are off and both salt readings are 3100. I didn’t change anything so I am not sure what happened. I will keep an eye on it, and update here as needed. The further reading link is extremely helpful!

    Troubleshooting Aquarite SWG

Need help troubleshooting my Hayward Aquarite SWG. The Power and Generating LED lights went out; I examined the circuit board and the thermistor was busted. I replaced the thermistor (have done this three times over the past 7 or 8 years). The lights came back on green, and I thought we were in...

    Need help with pool leak

I guess I'm afraid to let it go too far - in case it's on the bottom!

    Need help with pool leak

Thanks for the insight. We do not have lights so hopefully you're right and there's just a pinhole somewhere. At what point should I start filling the pool with water to protect the liner?

    Need help with pool leak

I closed the pool in early November. Plugged the returns, put gizmos in the skimmers, removed plugs from the sand filter and pump, and covered the pool. There is a wall drain that cannot be plugged, so that has always been left open at closing. I recently peeked under the cover and found the...

Sediment in pool…how to handle when going out of town?

Would you recommend raising CYA before I leave town, if I still haven’t passed OCLT?

Sediment in pool…how to handle when going out of town?

Thanks for the feedback. I’ve been hoping this is just pollen/dirt but when the OCLT showed a loss of 2ppm, I began to think there could be algae. I have fresh reagents on order so I plan to redo the test asap. Great advice about the DE and backwashing, I’ll give that a try after the trip...

Sediment in pool…how to handle when going out of town?

I have sediment collecting in little piles on the floor of the shallow end, the bottom of the stairs, along seams and in corners, etc (photos 1 and 2). It also gets dusty on one side of the slanted walls of the deep end (photo 3). The sediment is brown, dusty, slightly gritty and puffs away...

CYA reading - back to the sun or full shade?

I’ve read differing views on this. When I stand in the sun with my back to the sun (and the tube in my shadow), the dot is obscured at 40. When I stand in full shade, the dot is still visible at 40, but obscured at 30. Tube at waist height. Which would you trust? Just opened the pool and need...
