Question re: air blower placement - will it work

Hi All, So, kids want bubbles from out bench jets. There are 3 of them, activated by an Iaqualink remote valve. Sorry for the crude diagram but, if you can make out my basic system, can I put the air blower inline where I have it or do I totally not get how these things work? I am looking...

    Jandy LED Fails

I don't think there are any lights out there that last a super long time. The environment they are in is just awful. That said, there are many systems where you can just replace the bulbs. I have the Consolidated Rainbow Rays, they last 3 or 4 years as well. I just had to replace one last...

Heaters - Can you go too big?

I currently have a 200k btu heater. Its due to be replaced. Question is, can I go too big? Im thinking Jandy 240k btu but, what woukd happen if I went with the 400k btu unit. They are the same physical size, cost difference is negligible. Would it jus heat faster, I have a VS pump, could i...

Pool pump time and speed during winter

I run my Jandy VS @ 1250RPM from 8am to 11am and from 7pm to 12am. That speed is more than enough for circulation and to trigger the flow switch in the salt cell. Since putting in the VS in, I have reduced my salt cell level from 70 to 30 and am running the pump for the same about of time but...

Is there such thing as too much pump?

zea3 - current pump is 1/2hp on low speed. The only real judge I will have once hooked up is the pressure gauge on the filter. Currently, on high speed it runs at about 22 psi which I think is a little high, not sure though. Jim - Thanks for the tip, I was kind of thinking that running it...

Is there such thing as too much pump?

I am going to replace my main pump, currently a 2 speed. It's high speed is 1 1/2 hp. I have been having trouble sourcing a Jandy VS in the smaller size, they are on BO where I am. The 2 sizes they make are 1.65HP VS and 2.7 HP VS. I can get the larger, it is more money but that is secondary...

    HOA legal-eze

As someone familiar with this field, I would suggest you will not be bound to retrofit your existing structure to comply with rules and bylaws that come into existence after you met all laws and requirements at the time of construction. If you were to undertake a renovation of the pool, then...

    Hayward skimmer issue.

I should have included a picture, whatever is to be done, must be done in the skimmer. The pool is already built. The main drain hose terminates in the skimmer. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Hayward skimmer issue.

Hi, my installer put in a Hayward wide mouth skimmer. The bottom has 2 holes, one to the main drain and one to the pump. When the pump runs, all the water gets drawn from the skimmer mouth. How do I get the main drain to work? Is there a plastic elbow or anything of the sort? I can't imagine...
