    Monsoons are here

Rain in South Scottdale with a few minutes of dust before it but pretty mild overall. Rebel had the bottom cleaned up quickly from some blown in debris. Glad the palms are trimmed already. Time to smoke some ribs!

New pool Build in Arizona! Started today! Pics included!

I get the liquid 12.5% HASA chlorine at A&M Corsons pool supply. 4 Gallons in a return for deposit crate is like $18. 2packs of acid is a great deal there also. Have never used a tab in this pool.

Awesome! Can't wait to see the final water color once water and chems are stable. That sheen was in the running but Swmbo wanted more white and bling of blue glass.

How often should I test my CYA? Central Florida.

Yet if you ask about CYA loss at a pool store they will tell you you have a bad leak or a ton of splash out.

Average chlorine use in hot temps

Thanks for reply.. Added CYA in a sock in the skimmer in September of last year.. Otherwise the other Test numbers are all pretty great so far. Plan on using several Triclor tabs for the first time in a floater sometime in July during a 9 day trip..

Average chlorine use in hot temps

Maybe 25 according to the TF-100 cya test but I have added Most of a 4 lb bucket of Granular CYA 100% for it to read 25ish.. Doesn't make sense according to Poolmath. Don't I want to run a cya of 30-40 so I have some wiggle room to use Triclor tabs during some travel during summer? Thanks

Average chlorine use in hot temps

Just up the road from you in Old Town Scottsdale I'm adding between 20 and 26 oz of 12.5% liquid Chlorine daily but I am still struggling with the CYA test and based on granular CYA added should be reading higher. This is first spring season with the pool which always looks great despite the...

    AZ Remodel imminent

You will like the Baja ledge a lot better.. Everyone hangs out there even though ours is only 5' x 8'.. Can't help with the bubblers as we didn't do them.. Umbrella sleeve in the Baja was a must for us along with the Ledge Lounger Chairs despite the $$.

What did you find during excavation?

Our own Gas line which was incorrectly marked prior to the dig.. Luckily it was not breached!

    What's your current pool temp?

Struggling to stay 82 F in Phoenix with just an 8 Mil blue cover. Want the master temp 400 but pool build spanked the budget.
