    Above ground pool vac

I was thinking about the old fashioned ones that hook to the pool suction and you get in the pool and vacuum…….the robotic ones might work, but our ladder is fixed and I’m told they will get stuck on it. I might try the Pool Blaster Max.

    Above ground pool vac

We have a 20‘ x 52“ round Intex pool. It’s sitting on a concrete slab so the bottom is nice and flat and stable. We have always gotten by using one of the garden hose fed leaf catcher/strainer thingies. I would really like a good vacuum. This pool has two outlets that go directly into the...

    Above ground vacuum

Anything that would keep it clean. We have one that uses a water jet to suction into a strainer bag, works ok, but not great. Manual or automatic, whatever works.

    Above ground vacuum

We have a 20’ Intex circular pool with a Circupool salt system. I’m using an old water jet vac that works ok, but I’d like something better. Any advice on a good vacuum for an above ground pool?

    New pool start up

We are putting up an Intex 20’ X 52” pool. Everything is new except the Hayward sand filter. We bought a Circupool Smartflo 3hp variable speed pump and their UL40 salt/chlorine generator. I’m about to start reading the literature we have, but wanted to check in here also. We’ve always made...

    Skimmer dilemma!

I guess I’ve talked myself out of a through wall skimmer. We lost at least 4 inches of water depth when I installed the current one. I have seen a couple of narrower (top to bottom) ones, but I’m thinking of something more like a Pool Skim.

    Skimmer dilemma!

We are replacing our old Intex pool with a new one. We had a skimmer in the old one, but it lowered the water level so much I blocked it off. Does anyone make a skimmer that is shorter top to bottom so the water level stays up higher?

    SWG upgrade advice?

Thanks for that reply! I am likely overthinking things…..we got by for 20 years with a 1 hp single speed Hayward. At this point any VS would be an upgrade!

    SWG upgrade advice?

So, Circupool is offering the Smartflo 1.5hp VS. I’m not knowledgeable enough to know if that is big enough or not. I have only ever had Hayward single speeds. I assume they are all China manufacture at this point. Any brands better than others? Love to have Pentair, but budget is not that...

    SWG upgrade advice?

I decided I will most likely go with Circupool Universal 40 SWG. The tech was very helpful answering my questions. They offer a package and I wondered if buying it all together makes sense in terms of compatibility? Or, would any 1.5 VS pump and 150 cartridge filter work fine? If the latter...

    SWG upgrade advice?

Thanks for the info. My pad is a 22’ X 22’ concrete slab. The pool sits in the middle and one corner houses the equipment. Not much for pics just now, only the pump and filter are in place. Took everything down to prep for the new pool. Sounds like a 2X or 3X unit would be best. Price...

    SWG upgrade advice?

We are getting a new Intex 20’ X 52” pool. We currently have an Intex salt system we would like to upgrade. The pump and sand filter are both Hayward. Any advice on a swg upgrade? Anything better than swg? Thanks for the help!

    Better quality above ground pool?

We are planning on an inground pool, but need another year or two before we commit. Development pressure around us may cause our place to become valuable enough to relocate. I bought another Intex for cheap from a friend who had it up for 3 months before deciding to relocate himself. All I...
