Help, my pool is green :(

I’m done!!!! Yayyyyy! Pool is beautiful blue and passed the overnight loss test. Now I need help maintaining. Since I don’t have an automatic chlorinator and I can’t use pucks anymore I have to get the chlorine to hold out longer. I’m burning through a gallon a day and I can’t afford to keep...

Help, my pool is green :(

I have been testing the PH also just out of habit, but I thought that I was told it’s not accurate during this process so not to worry about it? My TA is also high, do I need to be concerned with that? My chlorine did drop lower than SLAM level today because I was gone all day unplanned. I just...

Help, my pool is green :(

Ok. We’re finally filled up, new test kit arrived, pump is running and it actually is looking better just from all the dilution. I added a gallon of chlorine earlier today because of all the new water. CYA is less than 30, I guessed at 25 and I am above SLAM level but I’m ok since I work 12...

Help, my pool is green :(

I’m about to shove those pucks up a chlorox CEOs rear! What’s more frustrating is I used pucks for the first 2 summers without issue but have no idea what brand they were. They obviously didn’t have the amount of stabilizer in them. It’s still refilling for the 2nd time and my husband took out...

Help, my pool is green :(

No it was 35 for an end result of 70 total. If it were still 140 I probably would’ve just set the pool on fire 🤣

Help, my pool is green :(

Ok so we drained at least 2/3, refilled, and have the pump running 24/7. Im in the middle of 12hr shifts so I had my husband throw in a gallon of chlorine when he started the pump. I just got home and tested and am super annoyed that my CYA was still 90. I tested it again on dilution and got 70...

Help, my pool is green :(

I bought a 10 gallons of chlorine and PH increaser just to have on hand. Should I be doing anything now other than draining and refilling? It will probably take all of today and tomorrow to get it filled back up? Obviously I can’t run the filter until that’s completed.

Help, my pool is green :(

I read that but was overwhelmed. I don’t know the temp of water going in and I don’t have a deep/shallow end. It’s just an AG Intex pool so I can drop it pretty low without any issues so I’m just doing a drain and refill. Other than damaging plaster or popping out of the ground is there any...

Help, my pool is green :(

Well since you said go blue I know I can trust your advice. You aren’t a shady state fan 😂 My diluted CYA is 140. New test kit will be here Tuesday and I work 12 hours tomorrow and Monday so after today I will only be able to do limited things with it until Tuesday anyway. It will probably take...

Oh reagents are 2 years old, I use the kit recommended by you guys and store it at controlled temps. I was planning on a new one in the spring but with the extra testing I am ordering one now. I didn’t want to get one now just to sit all winter but change of plans.
