Best Places to Buy Liquid Chlorine

FYI..... here in North Alabama Rural King just got restocked on their 10% LC. We picked up 4 cases this weekend for $16.99/case (roughly $4.25/gal). Last year we paid $2.79/gallon at RK so definitely an increase but it's cheaper than the $4.89 we paid at Ollies and cheaper than the $4.99/gal...

Dolphin Triton PS pool cleaner not moving?

Purchased this cleaner in May of 2019. I've kept it maintained, basket and filters clean, etc... Never ran it dry. Today I attempted to turn it on, and nothing. The power supply is on, but the cleaner doesn't do anything at all. Any suggestions as to what to check first?

    Cloudy water after iron removal?

No worries on the pool store testing. I have no intentions of doing that. The yellow on the steps appears to be a little less noticeable but it is definitely staining. We can't wipe it off any longer, but a Vitamin C tablet takes it right off. We can also remove it with a magic eraser, so...

    Cloudy water after iron removal?

So..... as an update. I was able to pick up more LC. Brought the level to 10ppm about 4pm on Saturday. The water was clearing, but had turned from a milky color to a slight hazy green in the deep end. OCLT yesterday at 9am was 8 ppm. I added 1 more gallon of 10% LC this morning. The pool...

    Cloudy water after iron removal?

That's the plan for now. We have to go find some more LC, but we plan to do that after work and then get it in the pool. I didnt think about the line having algae in it, but it's completely possible.

    Cloudy water after iron removal?

After removing the iron from my pool, the pool turned crystal clear. It was amazing! This past Sunday (6 days later) I hooked my slide up to the return jet below it (first time this season). Prior to hooking it up, my test results were: FC: 8ppm TA: 50 CYA: 30 pH: 7.0 (still low from the...

Pool stain in deep end that won't go away (now confirmed iron!)

I just went through this last week and mguzzy was spot on. Went from brown staining to a perfectly blue liner in a day. It wasn't terribly expensive. 4 bottles of Robelle's mineral out sequestrant were the most expensive part ($40 total), and 5 lbs of citric acid ($20) along with a $5 bag...

    Bleach shortage

I usually buy 2-3 cases of 10% LC at Rural King or Ollie's when I go. We average 2-3 gallons per week in the heat of the summer. When we opened the pool this year we tried to buy 4 cases ($2.99/gal) for the initial SLAM and then to maintain for a while and Ollie's had a limit on 10 bottles per...

    Brownish staining on pool liner?

I can’t get out to take pics because of rain so here’s a before that I have and an after from my security camera. Hopefully that shows the difference. Cousin Eddie (yes, our robot has a name) has never really been this visible on the screen.

    Brownish staining on pool liner?

I did take a few before. I haven't taken after pics YET because of rain. I'll take some in the next few days and post the before and afters. I can say that after using the CA I didn't see a noticeable change that day. We were a bit bummed out after 4-5 hrs and I was prepping to just go buy...

    Brownish staining on pool liner?

Yep I factored in the difference since I had to go with CA. I didn't really understand what it took for the iron to reach "green form". I have it all here and I'm going to read up on it some more while waiting for the CA to do it's business. Fingers crossed, the CA just went in!

    Brownish staining on pool liner?

I finally have everything on hand and plan to start the process to get rid of the staining tomorrow. Here's where I stand to date. I have 5lbs of citric acid powder (was faster to get than ascorbic acid), 4 quarts of sequestrant, a big bag of polyfill, a 13 lb bag of baking soda, 4 boxes of...

    Brownish staining on pool liner?

Ok.... Iron test = 0.3 PPM (it's actually between 0.3 and 0.5ppm, but the color is closer to 0.3) Copper test = 0.05 PPM
