    Pressure side vacuum?

Good point. I was imagining some way that people with a pressure side cleaner setup might rig a vacuum into their drain/skimmer for occasional cleanings like this, but I wasn't sure if there's a common product or technique for this.

    Pressure side vacuum?

Is there something that would work well for dust and sand left over from the sandblasting? My 360 tends to not get debris that small - it has to eventually work its way to the drain. Awesome - thanks

    Pressure side vacuum?

I'm planning to have my concrete pool deck sandblasted which I understand will make a mess in the pool. They recommend vacuuming the pool afterwards, but I have a pressure side cleaner (a Polaris 360) and from what I can tell pool vacuums tend to be suction side. Is there a vacuum solution for a...

    Safely etching concrete pool coping

I'm planning to apply some NewLook EnduraCool stain soon to my pool deck and patio, and as part of their prep, they recommend etching the concrete to open it up to better absorb the stain. They sell an etching product that is supposedly eco friendly (here's the SDS and TDS), but I'm hesitant to...

Jandy VSP not running at idle speed

Doh! I just noticed my schedule was changed! Apologies, my pool person must have changed it to have the pump running right now for some reason. I updated the schedule so that the filter should not be running right now, turned the pump off and on, and now it's idling again as expected. Sorry for...

Jandy VSP not running at idle speed

I have a Jandy VSP that's setup with a few different speeds: an idle speed of 1100 RPM, a filter speed at 1750, and a solar heating speed at 2200. I just noticed that my pump is running at 1750 even though it should be idling right now. I'm not sure if this is because the pool temp is too low or...

Turn off Jandy SWG that is using Aqualink

Setting it to 0 got the clicking to stop. Easy enough - thank you!

Turn off Jandy SWG that is using Aqualink

I have a Jandy SWG that is in need of repair, as it's clicking on and off internally every few seconds and saying "check cell". I'd like to turn it off so that whatever relay is clicking on/off doesn't get burnt out, but the normal way of holding down the power button doesn't work. Instead the...

Jandy TruClear SWG clicking - shows Check Cell

Yes, I can do that. Do you think it would be a warranty claim/problem with just the cell or the main SWG controller as well?

Jandy TruClear SWG clicking - shows Check Cell

I have a 2 year old Jandy TruClear setup, and I just noticed tonight that my SWG was making a sound like it's clicking on and off every few seconds while displaying either "Waiting..." or "Check Cell". Here's a brief video (may need sound up to hear clicking): The cell was cleaned once last...

Hotspot FPH AC heat reclamation pool heater - a review!

IIRC Hotspot said 2 speed is fine, but you might want to talk to them to confirm. I can't think of why that would make the install any more complex - if the AC is on in either speed you'd want the pool pump to be sending water to the heat exchanger. For that 15 foot distance, I'd recommend...

    Aqualink improvements

Awesome! I'm going to try this before next season. Is there any reason you didn't just stick the Pi inside the Aqualink controller's box? When you change the pool pump speed, does it go through the priming delay?
