Losing prime when I shut off pump

Did a bit of research on what the spider gasket is. It didn't look that complicated. I'll be taking off the screws and checking it today or tomorrow. If that's the issue, I'll change it. If it's the pump shaft seal, I don't think I'll do anything as it's inside the pump.

Losing prime when I shut off pump

Okay, so I stopped the pumped and watched for leaks. Didn't really see anything. The water in the pump basket didn't really go down. Just a little. I waited 6 hours.. Came back and water level is the same. I turned on the pump and it seemed to have retained prime somewhat. I noticed after I...

Losing prime when I shut off pump

I turned off the pump but I don't see any air getting in. There is still water in the pump basket when I turn it off. However, if I come back after 30 min, the water is almost gone from the pump basket. Where else can I check for else. I made sure the lid is extremely tight. Is there...

If I turn off the pump and I turn it on next day or even few hours, I will lose prime. I have to go back to the pool...

Following up after closing the pool...few more questions

Hi there, I do not have a main drain. On the skimmer, there are 2 holes. One is closed and the other one is the one which goes to the pump. The equipment is above water level. The pipe goes up a little mini hill.

Following up after closing the pool...few more questions

Hi guys, I finally closed my pool today. I feel pretty good but I still have some questions. So, after my water was below skimmer, I plugged the shop vac in the skimmer hole and blew the lines. I noticed my first return line bubbling so I plugged that. Then my other rerun line started to...
