I am in the City of Las Vegas and installed the Techko S187D Safe Pool Alarm..got it off Amazon. Works great and passed inspection no problems!

I know there is a reason all of the things end up in a building code but I thought it interesting that the inspector had no idea as to why this was in the code! I guess the people that do inspections don't have to know the "why" of code they just have to inspect to see if something is there or...

So we finally got to our pre-plaster final inspection and we failed because the City of Las Vegas requires a "service" GFCI receptacle that is more than 10' but less than 20' from the edge of the pool?????? Our house is 25' away and there is a GFCI plug there! This requirement is very specific...

Mostly boring update...still waiting on the shotcrete to cure..1 more week to go then we can plaster.. So we are moving on to other work like a ton of landscaping, getting the wall and gate back up and shopping for outdoor furniture..awesome to shop for off season great pricing may wait for...

Decking is now done! Concrete Sub fixed most of his boo boos and I can live with the rest...nothing is perfect..just want him out of my hair! Now just have to wait for shotcrete to cure (2 more weeks) and get the wall and gate back up (might take awhile so far everyone is telling me 4-6 weeks!)

Just talked to the Boss and we now seem to be on the same page...some things already fixed and promises to fix everything else...YAY

Learned a handy trick this morning...my concrete Sub is a ghost and impossible to get a hold of.... His guys show up this morning (unannounced) to work. I tell them to call the boss so I can talk and Voila!! he magically is on the phone!! Hoping I can get my issues resolved....

Yeah most of my "issues" are small things here and there...mucked up some of our tile that they will be fixing/replacing (or else!) One of the edges is not quite straight so I will be having it out with this Sub...good times!

Concrete decking done today...Not the best, Not the worst job......On to Landscaping, wall rebuilding, new gate while we wait for the shotcrete to cure...
