Okay that is awesome. Im also going to double check it tonight but Im passing my OCLT too so hopefully wont have to SLAM much longer. Would the air leak be a cause for the water to be cloudy, like milky cloudy not just hazy.. Im gonna try to post a good picture soon

Yes to an extent... I thought I was following the SLAM process until I found out the CYA could be tested even with cloudy water.... May I ask why a lower CYA is not recommended? My cya is still dissolving.. So basically what you are saying is since I didnt have the proper amount of CYA in it it...

Well I was able to get my CYA up to between the 20 and 30 mark but there is still a little bit of the cya in a sock so hopefully it will hit 30.. Im still not seeing much progress tho. Water still cloudy but it is light light light blue. CC is 0 Im not losing but 1 or 2 points on the over night...

I did add some water to the pool last night cause it was low from backwashing.... Could that cause it go back up? I test our well water and the PH is really low so I shouldn't have caused this, right? Also I made sure to have the hose down in the pool water instead of on the surface so it didn't...

Okay. So last night I added Muriatic Acid to lower my PH some... It kept adding a little at a time and retesting... Finally got it down to 7.2 added my CYA sock and got it up to 17 FC woke up today and retested so I could adjust my FC and my PH is back up! What does that mean??

Ok cool. So I can test for CYA and it be accurate even during the SLAM? How should I bring the CYA up? The sock method or can I add it straight to the water to raise it quickly?
