    IC40 not producing enough chlorine

OK. I'll give it a try. It's just been a very significant change from previous years in maintaining chlorine. That's why I'm suspicious that there is something different about my SWG. In years past can run it at 40 or 60% and have chlorine levels in 5-7ppm range. The Kansas summer hasn't really...

    IC40 not producing enough chlorine

Correct. Pump powers on at 1200. SWG powers on at 1215. SWG powers off at 1945. Pump powers off at 2000. The green Cell light is solid and on at all times. I just changed the rpm from 2000 to 3000 and no change in the bubble situation.

    IC40 not producing enough chlorine

Pretty much crystal clear. I run the vac when we have debris. And manual vac about every other week. Saturdays are my maintenance days and I usually add liquid chlorine when I find my chlorine drifting down again.

    IC40 not producing enough chlorine

Autocover is on from about 2000 in the evening to 1200 the next day. No automation just timer switches. And, no, my tiny bubbles have disappeared. I used to see them on the two returns closest to the system but haven't seen them this year.

Haven't done an overnight chlorine loss test. Do you think I should be getting higher than 5ppm directly off the return though?

    IC40 not producing enough chlorine

I suspected a problem with my IC40 last summer. I cleaned the SWG with acid and it started working fine again, or so I thought. This summer we're back to lower than expected chlorine levels. Did research and found that I likely had a faulty flow meter. Replaced that and cleaned again with acid...

    Cloudy water for a week

We opened the pool one week ago today. Water was cloudy but not too bad. Usually I can get it crystal clear and perfect within 2-3 days of opening. But this year I'm not making any progress. History: Build in late 2018 so this is season 4 of ownership. Have always studied and used TFP. I use...

    High Salt Questions...

UPDATE: Tested the house water (fill source). And the well water (just because I'm curious). We have crappy water in our area. Both tested between 300-350 TA and the well had 300 CH. The house water CH was 0 but we have a softener. So, it would seem like I'm going to have a TA that is elevated...

    High Salt Questions...

Yes. It is giving me a high salt indicator. We left the cover open overnight and our area received about an inch of rain. I'm going to run the pump and pool cleaner today and see where I'm at this evening. Also, can a ask what will probably sound like a *dumb* question? The Intellichlor uses...

    High Salt Questions...

As I mentioned in post #14, those results were 11 days ago and we've had to completely drain and refill due to an unrelated issue. My current readings with the new water and corrections are also listed above in post #11 of this thread. Current salt is at 4800ppm. Did a pH test this morning and...

    High Salt Questions...

Well, I am fairly sure it is correct. I followed the directions in the t-100. My readings from 11 days ago are as follows (but we have had a complete water drain and replace since then so it's probably irrelevant). FC-2.5 CC-0 PH-7.3 TA-350 CYA-10 SALT-4000 TEMP-52 I am also very concerned...

    High Salt Questions...

So, a salt level of 4800ppm is not dangerous to pool equipment My salt reading is 4800ppm. That's not dangerous or risking corrosion on the pool equipment? I'm trying to figure out if I need to do a partial water exchange or at least let mother nature help us out tomorrow night during a round...
