Actually, I believe both my pump and heater are on the same breaker on the Prologic panel... but I'll have to double check. I'm not upset about the short. Things happen, especially with so many working parts during a new pool install. As long as it's fixed I'm all good.

Following up with this morning's test results. FC - 9.5 pH - 7.8 TA - 100 CH - 225 CYA - 70 CSI - -0.01 Temp - 70 I was able to take a more accurate CYA test reading yesterday after work with the sun out so that accounts for the lower CYA.

Thank you so much for the reply mknauss. I always appreciate reading your posts. So from here, I'll need to raise my FC by adding some more bleach this evening, but try to keep it just under 10 in order to keep valid pH tests. Am I stuck draining water in order to get my CYA down?

Forget the platesetter / conveggtor and go straight for the Adjustable Rig. It's really what should come with the BGE from the factory. I have the R&B Combo with the added Extender. It's expensive, but a game changer. Also, check out the Egg Heads at the EggHeadForum. I've learned a ton on there.
