My 2 cents - Buy proper liquid chlorine from a pool store, it is over twice the strength. from your pics on pool size, add 8-9 jugs (I think your bleach added previously was not sufficient).     I usually maintain above 250ppm CH in Fiberglass pools, and above 200ppm CH in concrete pools. That won't hurt anything.

    Re: Testing In my experience, heavy rain can really affect alkalinity levels. Check this before treating PH, or PH may need adjusting a second time if you adjust alkalinity.

    Plan looks sound. One comment, Sam's bleach I imagine would cost far more to do the job. It would be a far weaker solution than Chlorine jugs from a pool store, and you would need a lot more. Just trying to save you some pennies.

    Good luck with the above, all great advise. Just to add, most pumps have a drain plug at the bottom. These can erode in time, or loosen. Check it is tight. Also, if you suspect a leak on the suction side, run a water hose on the pump lid, incoming joint, & pvc pipework. If there is an air leak...

    I would not mix bromine & chlorine together. They tend to cancel each other out. Also, chlorine (or bleach) tends to be too abrasive to the spa surface over a period of time, and will take off the finish. Just stick with bromine tabs and bromine shock. Also, consider a "spa frog"...

    I'm thinking that it will probably alright. If you are not confident, drain out some water & refill to dilute metal content. Good luck.
