    Pump sometimes surges

I’ve added water to a point higher than I usually keep it. It’s still surging.

    Pump sometimes surges

The water level is 1/2 way up the skimmer, where I’ve always tried to keep it. I’ll add add more while the pump is running to see if it makes a difference. I checked the skimmer weirs, and they are freely moving. I appreciate all the suggestions.

    Pump sometimes surges

Thanks for your reply. I’ll check those. It’s just really strange. It starts out fine in the morning. It runs a few hours, now, 4 1/2 hrs later, I hear is surging again.

    Pump sometimes surges

This has been ongoing since I opened the pool in April. It’s not every day, it can be weeks between episodes. I’ve backwashed the filter, kept the skimmers clean, changed the o ring in the pump basket, blown out the skimmer lines, checked for air leaks, and made sure the water level has been...

    Polaris 280 wheels stopped turning

I have just replaced the idler wheel and the 3 rubber tires on the larger wheels. Everything engages and it will run for a bit, then the wheels stop turning. If I pick it up and manually turn the wheels, the wheels will start turning again. It was moving before the changes, but the back wheel...

Pump not always priming at start up

I’ve read past threads about this issue, but I am still having problems with the pump not always priming at start up in the mornings. This is especially concerning to me because I’m not always home to check. I’ve just had the sand changed in the filter. The guys that serviced the filter did not...

    Should I shock again?

Thanks for replying. I ended up retesting the water, adding some chemicals and shocking again. It was just better to start over since the water had not been filtering for days since the last shock.

    Should I shock again?

I opened my pool Sunday, March 31. I tested the water on Tuesday, and began the process of balancing. I got as far as shocking, then pump problems started. The pool has not been running since Friday. I’m hoping to have it up and running today. My question is, after filtering again for 24 hours...
