ah that makes sense. i am changing my filter on almost a daily basis right now. we had lots of rust in the water from our well and until we get most of it out we change our filter often. thanks for the help!

ok my pool is just about ready. my cya is well below 30. 30 is the lowest the test goes. i know i need to add some though bc my chlorine burns off way too fast. well i read in pool school to add cya in a sock thru the skimmer. but read elsewhere to put the sock in front of the return. which is best?

dry acid. ok in pool school it says to put stabilizer in a sock in the skimmer. and is it safe to swim in the pool while waiting for stabilizer to fully dissolve?

ok. got the bleach and the tester kit. got all my levels to where they need to be accept chlorine. but just used the pool calculator to figure out how much to put and did so. keeping fingers crossed. we do see a little improvement before we added the bleach. water is still green. but we can see...

ok i know its somewhere on the forum. i've seen it. but now i can't find it. so my question is i finally got all my other levels decent. now i need to shock my pool. my fc level is 0 so how much bleach do i need to add to a 5800 gallon pool to get it where we want it.

Ok. Saw the borax thing on an older post. So I ran out last night at almost midnite to get some. I am gonna go back to wm today and check for the test kit and get some bleach. In a better state of mind this morning. Hopefully it lasts. Lol

no i just checked and it says 5800 gallons. but i just read on the app and it says never put more than 40 ounces at a time. what do i do? i already put the entire amount??? will it affect my liner?

he got the hth ph minus from walmart. according to the aquachem smart strips app i have to add 8 lbs of ph minus. was that too much?
