Is this how dual spa drains are supposed to be installed?

Thank you! I wonder why my builder did it incorrectly? It seems like it would pretty simple and inexpensive to have just done it the right way.

JamesW, Are mine plumbed in correctly with only one side of the drain system having a sump. See pics from my post above. Thank you!!

Is this how dual spa drains are supposed to be installed?

Looks like they are missing drain covers. Here are pics of my spa during construction. Two of the drains are connected to the spa jet pump and the other two are connected to the main pump, filter, and heater. I don't know why two have buckets and other two just pipes. I am sure the experts on...

pool equipment broken/damaged by neighbor contractor. "freeze protection activated"

Looks like the bubbler connection is flanged down to fit inside of what was there. I am no expert but seems like that could reduce flow.

    The Dreaded DE Leak

Have you checked the bottom mesh of the grids to see if it has separated? This just happened to me on a <2 year old FNS Plus 60. I just posted an update. https://www.troublefreepool.com/threads/grid-failure-on-pentair-de-filter-causing-de-leak-update.285627/

Grid failure on Pentair DE filter - Causing DE Leak [Update]

I spoke with the pool service company Pentair assigned to the case and he said this was the second time he had seen this issue and the first time was just two weeks ago. They ordered a new grid assembly and said they should have it ready to install next week; all under warranty. I would...

Grid failure on Pentair DE filter - Causing DE Leak [Update]

Update: Pentair is sending a service company to correct the issue under a warranty claim. I assume it means grid replacement but won't know until I meet with them.

Grid failure on Pentair DE filter - Causing DE Leak [Update]

I rarely backwashed the filter because the pressure always stayed the same. Maybe twice since the pool was started in 2/2022. The speed during each backwash was probably around 2600-2700 rpm. I don't recall the pressure exactly but think it was in the 10-15 psi range during the backwash.

Thanks for the input. I verified the multi-valve is installed correctly.

Grid failure on Pentair DE filter - Causing DE Leak [Update]

I just encountered the exact same issue (link to original post below) on a <2 year old FNS Plus 60 DE filter. I opened it up this weekend to do a full cleaning and noticed the bottom of every grid was blown out and completely open -- looked like they were wearing wedding dresses when I was...

    Cracked Coping Tiles From Cold?

I have a single cracked coping tile that happened shortly after completion but, none that I have noticed as a result of the freeze. (Quartzite coping.) I am trying to decide whether to fix it or consider it patina. I think if it were several cracked tiles, as with your situation, I would...

    Cracked Plaster

I wouldn't count on the warranty being there in the future. My PB closed up shop after my pool was completed. He decided to retire. Fortunately I had a good experience and am not concerned about issues down the road. Your PB may be a big name shop and in that case the warranty probably holds...
