    Do broken flex tubes "need" to be replaced. Or will filter work without them?

    It looks like the star shape piece in the tube sheet is loose. Should it be floating or stationary in the sheet? Also do the flex tubes work if they are cracked off and hanging loosely? Thanks

    No bump handle resistence

    I have the Hayward 50C DE filter and now have no resistence on bump handle. Last night on bumping I may have heard soemtning crack and the handle went limp. mHandle itself is fine. Maybe something wrong in the piston that pushes down? HELP!!
