yes, that valve can be adjusted for the cleaner and skimmer. Does that have to be adjusted to have flow once the cleaner is disconnected from the pool?

It was in spa mode when the picture was taken. I don’t remember having issues with the vacuum in the past when it was disconnected from the pool. I recently had the control panel upgraded, so there could have been some settings changed. That’s the only thing I can think of.

Jim, Both valves circled in red move when it switches to spa mode. The valve circled in yellow does not function. I believe it was for a fountain that no longer exists. And I do not know how to turn only turn on the vacuum. It always turns on when the it’s in pool mode. I inherited this...

It’s a Hayward pool cleaner

I noticed that my pool equipment stops working if the pool cleaner is not attached. I’m assuming this happens because the cover to the air cleaner inlet closes once detached and prevents any water flow. How then can I keep the equipment running if I want the cleaner detached?
